Message to Ørsted.
Pelle Fridell’s 7th solo album “Message To Ørsted” is a celebration of the 200 year anniversary of the discovery of electromagnetism.
The piece in 5 parts was written on commission by the SDU (University of Southern Denmark). Performed and recorded live in front of the Queen H.M. Margarethe of Denmark at Glyptoteket, Copenhagen in October 2020.
It’s a greeting back in time to the scientist Ørsted, using modern electronic sounds and instruments.
No doubt Ørsted himself would appreciate the jazzy approach.
